Christ, My Universal King

Christ, My Universal King
O Christ, my King, enthroned above,
Crowned in mercy, reigning in love.
Your Kingdom stretches from sea to sea,
A realm of truth and majesty.
The earth bows low beneath Your feet,
Angels and Saints, Your glory greet.
Yet in Your power, tender You stay,
Calling the lost, showing the way.
Your scepter rules with justice bright,
Dispelling shadows, birthing light.
The sinner finds a welcome here,
Your throne of grace casts out all fear.
You are the King of every age,
The Author of our history’s page.
Alpha, Omega, First and Last,
Eternal Lord, present and past.
Yet, humble King, You chose the tree,
A crown of thorns, humility.
In love You died, my soul to save,
And rose in triumph from the grave.
Today I bow before Your throne,
My life, my heart are Yours alone.
Reign in me, Lord, in all I do,
Christ, my King, forever true.
When nations falter, and powers fall,
Your Kingdom stands above them all.
Jesus, my King, my soul will sing,
Forever hail Christ, the Universal King!
